With HIV still disproportionately affecting Black women (almost two and a half times that of white women), SERO recognizes the importance and need for Black women’s voices and leadership within HIV spaces. We acknowledge, though Black women have always played an integral role within the HIV community, that Black women are frequently overlooked, even harmed, inside of many HIV institutions. Our goal at SERO is to support the most marginalized communities impacted by HIV and to lift their voices and experiences in order to create social justice within our community.
